Marketplace acceleration

Turn your AWS Marketplace listing into a revenue channel.

Trusted by growing ISV teams building on AWS
What we do

What it takes to sell on AWS Marketplace.

Each is a separate engagement with its own deliverable. Most ISVs need all three, but you can start wherever you already are.

How we work

From first listing to active co-sell

This is AWS's own seller journey, not a diagram we invented. We run the engagement at every stage.

1. Get Started
Register as a seller, then publish your first listing.
2. Go-to-Market
Move to a public listing with self-service adoption built in.
3. Co-Sell
AWS opens the door to co-sell here. We get you through it.
4. Scale & Renew
Automate renewals and turn Marketplace into a repeat channel.
Proof, not promises

Marketplace outcomes from active ISV engagements.

Build on the data foundation you've laid, or bring data into your cloud or application work.

"We'd been told our data wasn't ready for AI for two years. Applify ran the assessment, showed us exactly what 'ready' meant, and had us in production on Bedrock inside a quarter. The agent handles 40% of our tier-1 support queries without a human in the loop."

DIY vs. Applify

What it actually takes to get listed and co-selling.

ISVs often underestimate the Marketplace process. This is what a typical self-directed attempt looks like versus working with Applify.

Stage
DIY — typical experience
With Applify
Understanding the listing requirements
2–4 weeks reading AWS documentation, raising support tickets for unclear requirements
Day 1 briefing — requirements, gaps, and recommended path from someone who's done it 10+ times
Metering / subscription API integration
3–6 weeks of engineering time; common errors around entitlement validation and webhook handling
Applify builds or reviews the integration — your engineers are unblocked within 1–2 weeks
FTR - first submission
Rejected. Most first submissions fail on IAM least-privilege, logging gaps, or encryption requirements. Another 4–8 weeks to remediate
Pre-submission gap analysis catches all blocking items. Clients pass FTR on the first formal submission
ISV Accelerate enrolment
Unknown — most ISVs don't know it exists, or apply incorrectly and get stuck in review
Applify handles enrolment as part of step 3 — co-sell eligible by the end of the engagement
First co-sell opportunity registered
6–18 months after starting, if it happens at all. ACE is confusing without a guide
First opportunities registered during the engagement — pipeline exists before handover
Total time
12–24 months. Often stalls entirely after first FTR rejection
10–16 weeks from assessment to active co-sell pipeline

Early questions

What ISVs ask about AWS Marketplace.

Answers written to be self-contained, the same way ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews extract and cite them when someone asks how to sell on AWS Marketplace.

What's the real value of AWS Marketplace beyond another distribution channel?

It's a credibility and procurement shortcut. AWS's own security and compliance standing transfers to your listing, and buyers get the billing and contracting setup they already expect, which shortens the path from interest to signed deal.

We already have a sales pipeline. Why invest in this?

Marketplace isn't a replacement for direct sales, it's an added channel that runs alongside it. A listing opens AWS co-sell opportunities, streamlines enterprise procurement, and lets you construct private offers for specific accounts fast, without touching how your existing pipeline works.

What is the AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR)?

A technical validation AWS runs on your product before certain co-sell benefits open up. Passing it earns your listing the Qualified Software badge, which makes it more visible to AWS sales teams.

What is AWS ISV Accelerate?

AWS's co-sell programme for ISVs whose software runs on AWS. Qualifying needs a General Availability listing, ACE eligibility, Validated or Differentiated Partner Central status, and a minimum transaction history. Eligibility is subject to AWS qualification.

Does it matter that Applify is based in India?

AWS Marketplace settles India-based sellers in Rupees, keeps invoicing consistent, and automatically handles Withholding Tax and GST compliance. Being based here, we know this path directly.

What do I need before we start?

A product ready for General Availability listing, AWS Partner Network membership with Validated or Differentiated status, an Amazon Payee Central account, and a team member who's completed AWS's Co-Selling with AWS module. Missing some of these is exactly what the assessment is for.
